Little Millennium – A New Way Of Thinking About Teaching And Learning In Primary School

Learning starts for kids from home and then when they attend schools and colleges. At each level or stage they undergo many changes and get a different learning experience. Parents and teachers have been constantly working together for the welfare of the children. Each of them contributes in their own way for the children's development. Children also support their parents and teachers as per their level of understanding. But sometimes they lose interest in studies due to lack of enthusiasm. Teachers try to innovate ways to keep their students attentive and engaged.

With the greatest intentions each consecutive government has devalued the true values of primary school education. The target of making society more equal has resulted in the teaching of predetermined amounts of knowledge with rigid syllabuses and assessment by examinations which are made publicly competitive through league tables.
When the teachers add a little fun and innovation in their way of teaching children automatically get involved and enjoy their classroom session. Along with studies teachers can add a few games and activities with the help of IWB teaching resources. These resources are specially designed to keep the students motivated and interested in the regular lessons that the teachers teach. The games and activities are also very interactive. Students can remember a lot by relating their studies to fun. So when games and graphics are added in the lesson plans the chances of them to remember their lessons also increase.

Learning for learning’s sake across the vast scope of likely disciplines has been weakened. As a consequence, curiosity, creativity, initiative and problem solving have been displaced by 'teaching to the test'.
The future for both children and teachers alike is not about restoring the methods and practices of the Victorian era. It is to utilize our present knowledge developed through an understanding and insight as to how children of different personality learn in a wide range of ways, use our new-found expertise in the latest technology and understand and appreciate the recent changes in the principles and methods of instruction.
There are many resources available online as per the age group of children. There are many games for nursery students, for secondary and primary students. These teaching resources are developed by keeping the age group in mind, so that when teachers use in their classroom the students can relate to it.
The teachers as per the age group can select the lesson plans and incorporate in their schools. If you are looking for a wide range of pre nursery school please check out the little millennium website.
